Jackson Smith Joins Lyons & Simmons in Dallas
Attorney Jackson C. Smith has joined Lyons & Simmons as an associate, further enhancing the firm’s resources in representing plaintiffs in catastrophic personal injury cases and business disputes.
“Jackson brings his experience as a federal law clerk as well as his passion for representing victims of catastrophic personal injuries,” says Michael Lyons, co-founder of Lyons & Simmons. “His analytical skills and experience in the federal courts and his previous experience a large firm will greatly benefit our clients and the work of our team”
Recognized this year by the Best Lawyers in America guide as one of the nation’s top young attorneys, Smith joins the firm from the Dallas office of Winston & Strawn LLP, and previously served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Jane J. Boyle of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas and as an intern for the Honorable Amos Mazzant, III of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
“This move gives me an opportunity to take an even more active role in trial strategy and support the firm’s mission of helping those without a voice in the worst of circumstances,” says Smith. “I’m very excited about how I can contribute and what I can learn from the entire Lyons & Simmons team.”
Smith earned his law degree from Vanderbilt Law School, where he served as Senior Managing Editor of the Vanderbilt Journal of Entertainment & Technology Law, and received his undergraduate degree with honors from the University of Alabama.
