When you call the cable company to install services in your home, you don’t expect to be assaulted by the technician. For a 72-year-old woman in Dallas, this was exactly what happened. Our firm is representing her to seek justice for this horrendous incident.
Here’s what you need to know:
The Situation
In April of 2017, Charter Communications, a cable provider, sent a contractor to the home of a 72-year-old woman with Alzheimer’s. After installing her internet, cable, and telephone services, the contractor sexually assaulted her. The assailant was eventually arrested and awaits trial for alleged aggravated sexual assault.
The Lawsuit
Michael Lyons from our firm has filed a lawsuit against both Charter Communications and DCOMM Inc. on behalf of our client. In part, the lawsuit seeks to hold the cable company, and it’s 3rd party contractor, responsible for alleged negligent hiring, supervision and training.
