Attorneys honored in six unique plaintiff-focused practice areas

Six attorneys from the award-winning trial firm Lyons & Simmons, LLP, are recognized in the 2025 edition of The Best Lawyers in America.

Four firm attorneys, led by name partners Michael Lyons and Chris Simmons, were named to the prestigious Best Lawyers legal guide, and two others were named to the companion Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch list of the nation’s top young lawyers.

One of the legal industry’s oldest and most respected peer-review guides, The Best Lawyers in America recognizes top legal talent from across the country. Selection is based on confidential peer evaluations, with the final selection made following rigorous editorial research.

Lyons was recognized in five unique practice areas due to his representation of plaintiffs in litigation involving personal injury, product liability, medical malpractice, mass tort/class actions, and commercial litigation.

Simmons was honored for his successful representation of plaintiffs in his principal area of focus, personal injury litigation, as well as commercial litigation. Also earning a place among the top personal injury litigators was partner Christopher Carr. Partner P. Wesley Black was honored for his appellate practice.

Partner Stephen Higdon and associate Michael Fechner were named to the companion Ones to Watch list of top attorneys who have been in private practice for no more than nine years. Both were recognized for their work representing plaintiffs in personal injury litigation. Higdon earned additional recognition for commercial litigation.

With a national reputation for obtaining record-setting results in life-altering personal injury and wrongful death cases, the attorneys of Lyons & Simmons have secured more than $1 billion in verdicts and settlements since the beginning of 2023 on behalf of clients involved in life-altering wrongful death, personal injury, and products liability litigation.
